THSCC Rallycross - August 11th in Rougemont, NC

Post by Carl Fisher »

Tarheel Sports Car Club is proud to present "...More Than Meets The Eye", our 5th rallycross event of the 2007 season. For this event we're back at the excellent Orange County Speedway site in Rougemont, NC. With a firm, non-rutting surface and good elevation change, you can count on a good time.

Speaking of good times, race fans can make it a double-header and stay after the rallyX for an evening of racing at the Orange County Speedway oval. America's Fastest 3/8 Mile Track will be featuring ASA Super Late Models 125, LSC Twin 50, GS 35 and others. Adults are $15, students $10, and kids 10 and under are free. The racing starts at 7pm.

Spectating is free at the rallycross, so bring your friends and family along and make a full day of it and see what this fast-growing new sport is about.

Full information, including times, prices, and directions, can be found at

If you want to compete, please sign up online and reserve yourself a spot. We have a 50 car entry limit, and we hit it at our last event. Although we want to accommodate everyine, we can not guarantee that every walk-up will be able to get in. Online sign-up is fast and easy, and you can remove yourself later if you need to. Hope to see y'all there!

Just a reminder that this event is coming up this Saturday, August 11th. It's at our Orange County Speedway site, which we like a lot because it doesn't get rutted up.

I also wanted to remind y'all that there will be racing on OCS's oval track later that evening. Billed as America's Fastest 3/8 Mile Track, there is sure to be lots of good (and loud!) action there. The track racing starts at 7pm.
