A friend of mine who's currently serving in Europe was car shopping on Ebay and found this Miata in our general area. I advised him against it because
Strike 1. It's an automatic
Strike 2. rare GM v6 swap, there's more info on Monster (302) miata's.
Strike 3. the engine swap would put him out of his league in autocross classing.
Has anyone seen this car before?

I don't know the car, but I heard about it once. I believe it is in the possesion of a resident at Wintergreen. I have never seen it (to my knowledge) on the local roads. Maybe I have, but just didn't recognize it. Mike Moore may know the car.

Don't worry, i'm happy with my little red monster, our formerly yellow VWGTI (he autocrossed it twice) driving friend brought it up, he's looking at getting something fun to play with once he gets back from deployment and I let him drive my Miata with the Azenis when he was on leave and he got the Miata bug.It looks like the miata in question might carry more headaches and fevers than his budget can take.
