It's a long shot, but I am looking for someone to trade my red Miata hardtop for a black one. Contact me for details

It's not that hard to paint. If a perfect match isn't required, a few spray cans of gloss black will work.

A perfect match is not required. Any tips on painting it?

If you are using spray paint, I might take a scotch brite pad and scuff the surface in random directions. That should let the paint stick better.

Clean any trace of wax off then lightly scuff the surface. Use lots of thin coats of paint.

The nice thing about the hardtop is the ability to hang it for painting so it's at a comfortable height. Hard to do that with a car.

are you looking for a nice close-up job, or "looks good from here"?
