Shawn,
This is being given a trial run, primarily as an accommodation to Lynn and I. Travel time from our house to CB&Co is about an hour and 45 minutes. Having the meeting on the north side of Roanoke and close to I-81 cuts a significant amount of time off that, while still keeping the meeting location "local" for the rest of the board.
No problem with CB&Co. We like to go there.

Generally a lot of bench racing.
It's when we make the decisions affecting the club. Approval of expenditures for equipment and other event items. More and more these days is accomplished electronically, either via e-mail or forum discussions.
It's also a place I get guidance on SEDiv matters. As RE I'm one of the directors of the SE Division. I try to vote in the best interests of our members.

So these meetings are primarily more for the "officers" of the region?
