Miata on a dolly

Post by Scott »

I have just found a great deal on a Miata , but the catch is that it needs to be gone by tomorrow (i just found it today). It is 30 miles away and has not been started in 3 years. I have only been able to secure a tow dolly for tommorrow. Does anyone have any experiece with a dolly? Is there anything I need to know about towing a Miata with it?
Thanks

I've flat towed my Miata behind my RV with no problems. A tow dolly should not be a problem. If it will start, drive it some to lube the gearbox. Don't drive it over 55-60.

I would offer my trailer but it's probably too far away to make it feasible.

Not sure if it will start, it has been sitting for a claimed 3 years under a cover, so I don't think I am going to even try to start it until I get it home and have a chance to go over it some, maybe drain the gas, pull the plugs and add a little oil
