Hey guys I'm placing another order for roll bar tubing for a customer project that is comming in November.
The higher the quanity I order the cheaper the price gets.
So if any of you need any material let me know.
I will be ordering 1.5 inch DOM .095 wall thickness. This is the only size that I can get a special price on by buying in quanity.
The deal....
Payment to made before tubing is ordered and you will have to pick up your tubing from my shop as soon as it arrives.
Expected cost will be around $3.50 per foot range but the final cost will be determined when the actual order is placed.
I get this tubing from my work so there is no shipping cost for me to deal with.
Thanks
David Clemens

2. The size of tubing to be used shall be determined on the
basis of the weight and speed potential of the car. The following
minimum sizes are required required and are based
upon the weight of the car without the driver.
a) Over 1500 lbs.-min. of 1-1/” 2 o.d. x .120" wall or 1-3/4"
o.d. x .095" wall
b) Over 1000 lbs.-min. of 1-1/4" o.d. x .090" wall
c) Under 1000 lbs.-min. of 1" o.d. x .060" wall
Dimensions are nominal. 0.005” variation in wall thickness is
allowed.
so never mind, my car weighs over 1500 lbs, and 1 1/2" with 0.095" is too small for my car

Re: Roll bar material for sale
Actually the rules are different for Club racing and cages vs just a roll bar per SOLO2 rules.

i'm not sure what you're getting at, but what i quoted was from SCCA's 2008 National Solo Rules. therefore i don't think that building a roll bar out of this material for my 1500lb.+ car would be a good idea. feel free to correct me if i am wrong, or if there is some bit of information that i'm missing.yenko66 wrote:Actually the rules are different for Club racing and cages vs just a roll bar per SOLO2 rules.
