Leavng the BRR...

Post by SierraFox »

Well we are finally packing up and getting ready for the move. Just want to say its been great being a part of the BRR for what time I was able to assist. You folks really helped me develop my skills behind the wheel. I am looking forward to the VT event.

Pennie graduated her A-school last week and has been in town since last Saturday. She has been assigned to the LHD-3 Kearsarge in Norfolk. However she has to leave on Tuesday to sign in on Wednesday, bummer.

I do believe that the Norfolk area is home to the Tidewater Region (?) if I am not mistaken. Does anyone on the board participate there or live in that area?

Shawn,

All the best to you and your family. The club in the Tidewater area is: http://www.tidewatersportscarclub.com/

Shawn Lambert is an officer in the club and he's a friend to many folks in the BRR. He typically comes out and runs the CommonWealth Games with us each year.

Good luck on your new adventure... Norfolk is not that far away from BRR events.. 3hrs from Verona to Norfolk ACU4... I have driven it many times on a Sunday. Shawn Lambert has the yellow Miata with black stripes and fender flares.. he is adding a LS6 to it now... many great folks in the Tidewater area.

From Lynn's house to Little Creek Amphib is 193 miles. Almost all I-64 and traffic on a Sunday morning is light. Hard to figure travel times until you know where you will be living.

Chesapeake to Danville is only 190 miles.
