Almost looks like someone knows what they're doing. Just a shame I'm not the one with the knowledge. Just a Trunk Monkey at heart!

oh boy! Mick, that looks sweet! Gonna be tuned and ready by the Cage?!?

Now I have to get my exhaust built by the event so I can run the rx7 (wow, seriously I'm not touching the engine bay for a year after this is done, I want to drive the damn thing!!!)

Is there a reason you are keeping the ac braket?

Looks like fun.

The car will probably appear at an event before the megasquirt is in. Just depends on timing. Gotta take 1 event and some time at the Verona lot to "break in" the motor before pushing it too far. I'm thinking 7600-7700 rpm will be okay, so hopefully I won't run out of revs in 2nd with the 13 " wheels.

Motor is in and hooked up. It started up last Saturday and seemed to be fine, at first. Seems to be an issue concerning fuel and intake. Throttle can be raised slowly and it revs fine. However, if you drop the throttle it bogs and would actually flood to a stop. It would only start after disconnecting the fuel pump and burning off the excess/reattaching the fuel pump. Changed fuel pump and strainer, drained gas, changed fuel filter, checked injectors, replaced throttle position sensor. It seems somewhat better, but not correct yet. Acutally runs a bit better with the O2 sensor disconnected. Then there is the oil leak. Don't know where it is yet, but only occurs under pressure. Doesn't leak when not running. Another project for the weekend. Also, need new pads on the front. Rebuilt the back brakes with new rotors, calipers, and pads. It appears we were dragging brake a lot last year. I wonder how fast it might have been without the anchor. Car has been corner weighted and sway bar reattached. Only a miracle will have it ready for VT.
