I know there's one at VIR, wasn't sure if there's a closer option. Any suggestions?

Re: Nearest Chassis Dyno to Roanoke
There is one in downtown Danville (just a little closer). I can look up the number if you want to call. The person who owns it is named Mark (forget his last name). Moved from CA, and is a BMW specialist. When I used the Dyno a few years ago he had a BMW 1602 (2002 body with the smaller motor), that had the 1602 emblem on the back. Or maybe it was a 1402, something unusual like that.
The only other one I have heard about is in Raleigh.

Pulaski might work, gotta trailer the car. I just need some WOT runs to fill up a data logger. Don't even need a full hour.
Let me touch base with my ECU guru, will check back in.

Keep me in the loop, I may be interested. Would have to do the pulls on Saturday, or Labor Day (if the shop is willing to be open).
May need less than an hour also, plan to use the pulls to set my timing.

Re: Nearest Chassis Dyno to Roanoke
The two closest dyno shops are Coltranes in Pulaski and a small new performance shop just east of Bedford on 460.
I have taken several Corvairs down to Coltranes in Pulaski. The guy that runs it always seams to enjoy running the dyno and he also almost never charges me the rate that he quotes. It is always less than what he quoted.
Last time I went we made about 7 pulls with adjustments between the runs and he charged me $100.00 I think I was on the dyno for around 2 hrs.

Re: Nearest Chassis Dyno to Roanoke
That sounds like our kind of guy.
Need to scrounge up an extra ECU and get a couple things done on the car, so my timing may be the weekend after Labor Day.
Will check back with you guys around then.

Re: Nearest Chassis Dyno to Roanoke
they recently opened one up on Rt 460 just the roanoke side of Lynchburg. I've only driven past and asked some of my lynchburg friends about it. however, it's quite a bit closer than the one at VIR which i think is right at 100$ for 3 baseline pulls. though i think you could talk them into 75 if we could bring a group.
Hey, what does this thing do *zap* oww,.... so that's what it does!
