Any bets as to where the runoffs are moving? I've heard COTA as a possibility. Favorable fall weather and a mid-continent location. Road course at Indy was another suggestion so nobody would have a home track advantage.

Re: Where are the runoffs headed?
Word on the Racing boards, is that the Runoffs are moving to the West Coast for 2014. Not sure if it will be for 1 to 3 years,
there, or if will will alternate to the West Coast every other or 3rd year. COTA would be a great location.
Carl and I are not planning to attend the Runoffs if it is any farther west than Road America. It is too much of a traditional Road Trip event to fly.

The announcement says 2014-16 so it looks like 3 years. If the west coast which track?

I had heard 3 different tracks over that 3 year period , one West , one East , one mid ,,but I also heard COTA for the same.

Re: Where are the runoffs headed?
Reading the comments of the BoD implies it would move annually, rather than than do three year contracts. This may be why they elected to do promo themselves, rather than make it part of the package.
I think that would be ideal, as anybody local to the venues has a significant advantage.
I'm watching with interest- would love to make another RO's run, but only if it's within a reasonable driving distance.

Woo-hoo, back to the East Coast and then Mid-Ohio! Great decision to move it every year- reduces the home court advantage and maybe prevents some of the car-picking based on the track.
Next year is off the table, but after that I'll have to think about it!

You know you want to drive Laguna Seca But without an arrive and drive, it's a 2 week trip minimum.aged racer wrote: Next year is off the table, but after that I'll have to think about it!
