Karting Picnic at VIR Kart Track
Any interest in having a Picnic and Kart outing at the VIR Kart track. Cost for 10 karts on track is $500.00 per hour. Cost per drivers would need to be figured out once we know the interest level. A Saturday during the off schedule would need to be decided upon. If there is enough interest I can make the arrangements. Dates could be in late August or September. Currently is looks like September 14, 2013 is an open date at the VIR Kart Track, 12:00pm to 2:00pm racing with the picnic and bench racing following the finish of the kart racing. Is that a good date for all that are interested?
We have in the past run a 15 minute practice with 15 minute races following for 2 hours... then have a picnic lunch/supper after the Kart racing is completed. The 15 minute races allow for 2 groups of drivers with a rest period between races. We have had folks get sick trying to run all the races without resting.
Cost will be $55.00 per driver, limited to 20 drivers/positions, you do not have to be a BRR member to participate. Everyone welcomed to come to the picnic and view the racing. The additional 5.00 is to pay for the refreshments, sports drinks, water and ice available to the participants.

That sounds fun! Definitely interested. All of the arrangements (insurance, etc) are through VIR, correct?

Liability Insurance is under BRR meetings... sign the BRR Waiver and the VIR Kart Track waiver.

Ok. Let me know if we'll need insurance for the event and I can get it arranged.LynnCombs wrote:Liability Insurance is under BRR meetings... sign the BRR Waiver and the VIR Kart Track waiver.
