What is VIRs policy on verts?

What is VIRs policy on convertibles at HPDEs. If you have a removable hardtop and no rollbar, would this suffice?

Nope... :(

As far as I know still, the track's policy is that you must have a roll bar in a convertible car...hard top or not. It is also technically supposed to be 2" above the helmeted head of the driver. That is the only area where you might get away with a little less.

Also, IIRC, "double hoop" type bars do not pass go, nor do they get to collect $200. Even if they are 4 point. This is what makes it hard for a newer Boxster to get on some tracks, as well as some Miata roll bar designs.

Steve,,,,,Something you wanna tell us ??? Anything NEW going on ??Hmmmm Last time I checked Subaru doesnt make a Convertible........ 8) Yes ,I've heard something,or rather seen something !
