I see there is a Solo Trials event at the Danville Airport listed on the SE Division schedule.
Will this event be similiar to the Gainsville TT?
I am assuming the event will be run under the Time Trial Rules.
Does anyone have more information at this time?
Just looking ahead for planning purposes.

The plan is to have a Solo Trial in May and another one in September. The one in May is to get our act together... It will be run under the SCCA Solo Trial rules outlined in the 2008 Solo Rule Book. There is a copy of the Solo Trial rules under the Links Cone on the main BRR-SCCA web page.

Thanks Lynn,
I didn't realize there was a separate set of rules for Solo Trials. I was under the assumption that Level 2 rules applied.

The Solo Trials rules and the Level 2 Time Trial rules are very similar. For us the main difference is in the event officials required. We can use our Solo officials for a Solo Trial but would need to get TT officials for some of the tasks for a level 2 event.

do the solo trials count toward the events needed to move from a novice TT license toward a regular one (long shot I know, but worth a try)?

Officially, No. However, in conjunction with other track experience it may reduce the number of events needed. The number of events required is not written in stone.
