The JDM STi hood scoop kicks you out of Street Prepared and into Street Mod.

I have the stock hood scoop still, and I am in the works of trading the rear seat for a stock 02 WRX set.

Would anyone care if I still have the wrong rear seat (since they are basically the same thing, different color) to run ESP instead of SM if I don't trade in time for Danville?

I would be running on 340 Treadwear NEXUS tires or something anyways... lol

Nope. The STi is not on the same line (or class) as the WRX in street prepared. You have to run a WRX hood scoop.

You can upgrade the intercooler. You can upgrade anything up to and including the intake manifold in Street Prepared.

ok, very cool. I wasn't sure if the WRX and STi counted for update/backdate or anything.

Are coilovers legal in ESP? even with front and rear camber plates?

I tried to DL the rulebook a sec ago, and it was down. I'll try again in a bit...

Chike- thanks alot for the quick answers! I might just have my coilovers on by danville then.

I'll bring the stock hoodscoop and swap it if any of you guys really want me to- with teh stock intercooler it doesnt seal up so I doubt its even as effective as stock unless I upgrade to a larger intercooler.

dude, the back seat should be comfort and convenience. They are the same seat with different fabric. I don't think there's any case against it.

Bruce,

Actually no emissions are required in Street Prepared. Brock is working to make the car ESP legal - last I checked he was a hood scoop away...
