Road Rally on Halloween in Roanoke

Ski Club Road Rally

2:00PM (sharp) at Towers Shopping Center
Time for Some Fun and a Party!
The Ski Club will be running a road rally on Sunday October 31. To participate, arrive with a vehicle no later than 2:00 PM. Vehicles will be started in 3 minute intervals from the Towers Shopping Center parking lot, lower level next to Planet Fitness.
Each vehicle must have a driver and navigator who will be given a set of instructions and clues to make their way through a 2-stage course. Stage-1 terminates at a checkpoint. You will have the opportunity for a "break" at the checkpoint. Here you will also turn in your Stage-1 instructions and receive your Stage-2 instructions. Stage-2 terminates at a party destination where a good time, dinner and beverages await you. After all Rally Teams have arrived at the party, the Rally results will be tabulated and a winner declared based on the best Rally score. In the spirit of Halloween, there's also a costume contest. Costumes, are optional and are not required to participate in the Rally.
Rally scores are determined based on distance, time and correct answers to clues. It's not a race! Time can't be faster than what can be achieved driving within the posted speed limit. An example of a clue question might be the number of mailboxes from point A to point B, or to identify something you should see along the way.
You will also be provided with a PANIC!!! envelope. This is if you are hopelessly lost and are ready to throw in the towel. The PANIC!!! envelope will disclose the location of the party. However, if you open the envelope, you automatically disqualify yourself from winning the Rally.
This has been a blast for those who have participated in the past. There are no dull moments for this event!!! Karen Saunders is leading this adventure and with Dayna Patrick co-leading, we can guarantee some fun surprises along the way!
We need your RSVP so we know how much food to prepare. Please RSVP no later than Wednesday, October 27 as per the below for contact information.
Cost is $10 per person.
