I am interested in your all opinions on this tire. I have heard nothing but great things about them over the past. Also just as important though is did anyone use them as a daily driver tire? If you did how long did they last?
Also would you recommend another tire over the 615K? Guess I am trying to get a tire that I know performs great at the track and also is a decent DD tire. If I can get a good 12-15k out of them plus some autocross I will be very satisfied.
Thanks in advance, oh and good to see you all again

I would take a Hankook RS3 , Dunlop Dirreza Star Spec or Bridgstone RE11 over the 615 . All faster , longer lasting and as good or better in the rain.

I agree with Anthony and Brock, those tires are much better to live with day to day than the Azenis.
What size are you shooting for? I've been really happy with my star specs and while the hankook will beat them in the dry (in most sizes at least) the Dunlop is a better option if you plan on driving through some bad rainstorms but does heat up on hot autocross days (spray them after my 3rd runs in the summer). The kooks aren't as good in the rain but LOVE heat.
The new 615k is better than the old compound but still overheats and has less water evacuation ability than the other tires on the block and once you factor in that it's not the cheapest tire in town anymore it goes lower on the list.

Re: Falken RT-615K & your impressions, thoughts.
I am currently on a set of 225/50/16 which I have been running just fine with some fender rolling, I was able to lower the car some more this way. But as you would imagine there is a bit of sidewall roll. I want to eliminate the roll so I am going to sacrifice some width for a lower profile.
Right now I am looking into 215/40 to 45/16 tires.
You know as little as I drive the car I dont really need to get 10-12k. Over the last 4 years I have put less than 3000 miles on the car LOL. Some due to engine building downtime and driving our DD more.
I am also ordering the tires through work so prices are a little bit below retail. Currently I can get the Falken RT-615K's in 215/45/16 for $124.00 each.
I looked at the RS3's Tony, they are bit out of the price range and they dont come in the size Im after.
If at the least I will downsize to a 205/40 or 45/16. But I dont really want to sacrifice that much tire.

Re: Falken RT-615K & your impressions, thoughts.
the RS3 comes in your current size of 225-50-16 for $106 and has a much stiffer sidewall allowing us to run very low pressures on course , the RE-11 comes in several 16" sizes all under $125 , the Dirreza comes in 225 and 205 at $126 and $112 .
I have run the 225-50 on my Neon and experienced very little sidewall flex , less in fact than I see on my 45 series Hoosiers.

I got a little over 10k miles and probably a few hundred auto-x runs out of my star specs. They were great everywhere but bald and in the snow.
