what do they want the volunteers to do? on a side question is the 700-1000$ entry fee cover the entire year or what?

I'm pretty sure the volunteers will help with staging and spotting during the Rally , standing in the woods waiting for the competitors to go by and reporting any problems . Pretty much like working course during an autocross just a much bigger area to cover . The $700-1000 is just the entry fee for this event , this is a ProRally .
