Free: 1994 Miata Motor (New Piston Rings Required)

All,
I'm relocating and losing my garage. I have a blown 1994 Miata motor with approximately 150k miles. Compression and leak down indicated worn/damaged piston rings. If you are looking for a motor to build, this might be for you. Please note that the TB, CAC, and assorted sensors have been removed. Basically just the block, head, and intake manifold.

I think I'll take it....wonder how similar the mechanicals are on 94-95 1.8's are to 96-97's.

really wish i would have seen this yesterday. not sure when i'd be able to pick it up anyways.

If you want it joey you can grab it since it's pretty much a direct fit for your car. I know there was a power diff and possible compression difference for 94-95 1.8's versus 96-97's. But if you don't take it let me know so I can possibly take it off his hands.

i'm going to hold off and wait for an 01+ block anyway to make my frankenstein 01+bottom end, 99 head. already have the head..

I could use this for the Challenge car. If Scott could pick it up, I could grab it within a week.

Sorry Jason after Joey passed I jumped on it and am picking it up this weekend. Probably going to rebuild this one to take the place of my 97's 1.8 that's been burning a quart of oil every two weeks since the Spring of last year.
