It's that time of year to start thinking of choosing who will lead the Blue Ridge Region and who is worthy to receive the annual awards!

Up for election this year are 3 positions
Board of Directors Member
Assistant R.E.
Secretary.

Annual Awards include:
Sportsmanship
Worker
Solo Driver
Race Driver

Email your nominees to BRRSCCA.dave@yahoo.com with "Nominations" in the subject field. These nominations will be tallied and an email/mailing letter will go out with the top candidates printed so the membership can narrow their choices or choose a write in.
If anyone has anything to add to the list feel free to post below so I can edit this post.

EDIT: Nomination time closes Thursday December 12th. After that I will create the candidate list for the final mail/email ballot.

While I have been serving as interim secretary for the past two years I would like to encourage someone else to step up to the plate. I have a busy schedule coming this spring and an ailing car so the likelihood of me making events or having time for my secretarial duties is low. If you decide to step up to this position I will gladly be there to help you along and give you all of the contact info you need for supplies and how to use SCCA.com

For Solo driver and Race Driver, it would be nice to have a list to choose from as I have no knowledge of a candidate.

Solo Driver: That could be anyone we've been autocrossing with.
Race Driver: Sadly I don't make it to many local SCCA Club Racing events so I have no idea of the driver pool to pick from.
These are for nominations so there will be a cluster of people with many votes that will appear on the actual ballot once the Dinner matter is dealt with.
If you want to be particularly bold you can post within this thread and lobby for a candidate of your choice. No smear adds please

I have a recap of year-end SCCA points for BRR racers to post over on the club racing section, if I can figure out how to do it again.

As the nominations are pouring into my email I would like to remind you that you can nominate yourself for any of the officer positions (wouldn't be classy to nominate yourself for one of the awards...)
