Did we ever get the number boards back?

Brock was going to make new vinyl and we are going to stick them to some new plastic or metal..whatever I can find at Lowes. I just need to let Brock know the size...which I forgot to do, thanks for the reminder.

Instead of trying to use the hanging type signs like before, I suggest we get standing floor signs, like "WET FLOOR" type signs. I can get them for about $15/each and whatever cost Brock charges for the letters. I think 6 will be enough.

colored cones was an idea that I liked. super easy to spot from a distance, and really cheap.

Do we know where the current boards are?

I do not remember who took them....but it has been months. I can order the stand up ones from Amazon, shipped PRIME in two days. I am sure Brock can print the vinyl for us and everything will be ready Saturday morning. Cost for the stand ups will be about $100; 6 of them.

The stand ups will take up a good bit more space in the trailer...

I think they will tuck in nicely behind the cone board and tables inside the ratchet strap.

But, if we want colored cones, then these are available:

The stand ups will likely fit in the speaker/pa box.

I like the colored cones idea - there's no particular order to adhere to & you can see the color from 360 degrees around the cone. I think the wet floor signs may be too flimsy to hold up to some of the wind speeds we see being in open parking lots. Those metal signs used to blow over a lot - I can't imagine plastic is going to do a lot better.

I agree brad the plastic signs blow over in the wind

I agree they would blow over more easily. I guess I was thinking they would only be out to identify the worker station until the worker got there and then they would pick them up until their time was complete and then put them back out. I can't find colored cones on amazon prime, if that's what we need

They make a flat plastic board that is made to simply slide into any traffic cone.. Would this idea work?

Here is another link for colored cones:

set of (5) delivered to a Harrisonburg commercial address in 1-business day is $80: Blue, Lime, Pink, Yellow and White

Not sure if it needs to come from Amazon or not.

I like the Krylon idea too. Not sure how well it will adhere to a "well used" cone.

it's all about the prep.... :D

but, either way the heat will most likely cause issues

If heat is going to be an issue, Danville will test it!

The new Krylon MAXX is pretty awesome stuff. I would say wash them down with carb cleaner and spray away!

what about a folding chair at the stations that has been color coded ( painted). It should be able to take any wind issues, and we can use it as a surface for people to set water bottles, the radio, extra cone, ext on. We would have to implement " no sitting while cars are on course " but that is about the only problem i'd see with it. ( and the paint wouldn't wear off like it would a cone )

^ speaking of which - how is the paint holding up on the cones? I did not see them go into the trailer.

Good news Henry - we should not have a problem spotting the green cone at Salem :D

:P The paint looked fine going in, they were stacked on each other so we'll see how they look on the other side.
