Will you be offering all the CAM and HC supplemental classes?

CAM is offered. I do not know what HC is.

Those are Heritage classes.
2016 SCCA Solo Rules wrote:Vehicles must be from model year 1974 or older and not produced by a United States based manufacturer. Models newer than 1974, but of the same generation as the 1974 model, are allowed. EXAMPLE: a 1978 MGB would be eligible. Vehicle must pass the mandatory safety inspection (tech) and be in compliance with Section 3, of the current SCCA National Solo Rules.

There are two classes; Heritage Classic Street (HCS) and Heritage Classic Race (HCR). HCS is for street legal vehicles competing on street tires with common enthusiast modifications. HCR is for race prepared vehicles competing on any tires with modifications similar to those common "back in the day". Additional safety requirements will apply to HCR.

The classes and rules are offered for Regions to use as shown OR Regions may modify them to suit their local needs. This includes the number of classes, vehicles including/excluded, and/or specific allowances/restrictions contained in the rules. The core objective is described in the "Rationale" above, but specifics may be adjusted to fit the needs of the local participants so they can have fun with their Heritage cars.

Oh I remember those. We do not offer them (Heritage Classes) in BRR due to lack of interest.

Gotcha. Will it not be offered for VAC, then? ODR-SCCA has four HCS competitors in two cars at most of our events this year; one of them is in contention for the points championship @ ODR and three of them were considering competing in the VAC. I know they'd rather run in HCS than BSPT, but I think they'd do well in BSPT, too.

Also, will there be overall and PAX awards this year or just by class?

When will registration open?

Thanks!

I vote we add hc for the one event. Also we usually do FTP and FTD awards.

Given the time constraints involved, I will not add HC for the VAC. I can understand the desire to do so, but adding classes to our timing software is not something I wish to undertake before such an important event.

There will be daily and weekend overall and PAX awards.

Registration should be open by close-of-business on Monday, July 25th.

We run the same T&S software you do; it's a trival change to add HCS & HCR to the ax2016.accdb file. Literally, open it in Access, add the two rows, save. The only issues have been with classes that end in T, Z or X since the software can confuse those with bump classes. (We had some crashing issues related to a CAMT car before we figured it out.)
