Greetings,
First off, miss you guys! I should be coming back to events soon, my weekends off are rather sporadic. So here's the question, a friend of mine has recently told me that SCCA B-spec race cars can be "street legal", could not find much information on my own to verify, but man would it be fun to daily a b-spec Mazda2 to work every day! So say I bought one... what would need to be done to it in order to be (mostly) street legal? Might very well be a dumb question but I'm curious... Thanks!

The first thing to look into is the legality of street driving a caged vehicle that has had its airbags removed. I think that alone would make it a non-starter.

It really depends on how prepared the B-spec car is. The rules require certain things like safety equipment but allow other modification that may help performance but are not required. Examples would be interior removal, steering wheel replacement, lights, etc. I think there was an article in Sports Car some time ago about a guy who drove his B-spec car to the track.
