Sunfires almost done, and some Volvo coming to the garage.

I literally just have to get the engine gaskets and 2 timing chain gears and she's good to go for the sunfire. Should be near bulletproof now. She's balanced, forged, bushinged, and ready for some action. Will post pics when we put her back together in the next few weeks.

On the other hand I'm coming into ownership of a 1998 Volvo V70 2.5N/A that needs new valves, timing chain and a tensioner. I'm getting the car for free from a friend who'd rather give it away than have it end up in a junkyard. Swapping in a T5 engine has been considered but I don't know the logistics involved in that yet.

First thing is some touring bilstein shocks and a detailing job, then we'll see where we go from there. I'm just going to do it up as a nice daily driver with a high quality stereo setup and some nice wheels, now I don't have to worry about driving a sunfire with little ground clearance and performance tires during winter.

Any volvo guys here have any reccomendations for the old girl?

all parts accounted for. Should have her running by the end of the month.

Then we'll get back into some auto crossing wherever it may be. Really missing it.

I'll be able to be more active in the future even with a downed car thanks to the Volvo, just hasn't been possible with one car in the family.
