Pump for MTL

Post by mseal »

I have been looking for a pump to transfer gear oil for transmission/differental. I found one at Autozone, but it won't fit on any container that I have. The pump is too large to screw onto an quart container and I even tried an old gallon milk container(plastic) and the "fitting" is too large to screw it on. Any suggestions where I can find a "good", inexpensive pump so I'll have something to entertain myself with when it begins to snow this winter?

I used that autozone pump, it doesn't fit nicely, but it'll work , trim the plastic hose if need be (it's meant to work on a 5quart container).
Don't suppose you have any empty 5qt motor oil containers lying around? That might work even better.

Not much use for the 5 quart containers since it'll only hold a bit less than 4 quarts. I guess I'll go for the duck tape or something like it. I somehow feel the need for oil dry on my garage floor in the near future. Ha!
